Robert Bourgi belies the statement given to Karim Wade



PARIS, France, May 9, 2013 / - I had read an article published by the French magazine Le Point 8 May 2013 and citing statements attributed to Karim Wade.



I deny, in the most emphatic manner, the statement given to Karim Wade that Mr. Jacques Chirac, President of the French Republic, would have called, in 1999, one hundred million CFA francs to Mr. Idrissa Seck to induce him to betray Mr. Abdoulaye Wade in favor of President Abdou Diouf, former President of the Republic of Senegal.



This statement is ridiculous and false.
