LAUNCH OF INNOVATION AWARD FOR AFRICA 2014 Lo-Mubarak announces funding for an industrial unit of the machine sheller fonio Sanoussi Diakité

The Innovation Prize for Africa was officially launched this morning at the offices of Jokkolabs by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, in the presence of Mubarak Lo Pauline Mujawamariya, Program Director, Prize Innovation for Africa Foundation for Innovation in Africa. M Lo announced funding of an industrial unit of the machine sheller fonio Sanoussi Diakité.

The official launch of the Innovation Prize for Africa in 2014 took place this morning in Dakar by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, Mubarak Lo. Came to represent the Government of Senegal, Mr. Lo has welcomed the choice of Senegal to host the ceremony. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Sanoussi Diakité, who won in 2013, the price of social innovation. A price that was awarded for having developed a machine to heat food that dissects five kilos of a cereal fonio from West Africa, in just 8 minutes. This distinction honors Senegal, led the Senegalese government official, Mubarak Lo announced funding of an industrial unit for the machine of Mr. Sanoussi Diakite and a special program fonio from the next crop year. To encourage and mentor Senegalese scientists to apply mass Innovation Award for Africa 2014, Mr. Lo has suggested the establishment of a working group to help designers to submit their nominations. He also sought and obtained the organizers held in Senegal in 2015 the ceremony Innovation Award for Africa (PIA).

 The Innovation Prize for Africa (PIA) is an award created by the African Foundation for Innovation, which mobilizes African innovators and entrepreneurs by providing a total of $ 150,000 to the winners who create focused solutions market for African-led development. The PIA also honors and encourages innovative achievements that contribute to developing new products, increasing efficiency or reducing costs in Africa. The award also encourages private investors, government leaders and development to invest in all sectors and build a climate fueled economic growth in Africa.

The ceremony was also attended by Karim Sy, founder and chief catalyst  of Jokkolabs, Yann Le Beux, Upstart, Professor Abdoulaye Sanokho, inventor and large regional price of President of the Republic of Senegal for inventions and technological innovations in 2010.
